At Atla, we’re always looking for meaningful ways to support wellbeing while strengthening connections across the business.

One of our newest wellbeing initiatives, Share a Hobby, was created with exactly that in mind – bringing colleagues together to collaborate, learn something new, and enjoy time away from their desks.

The idea behind Share a Hobby is simple but powerful. It encourages colleagues to share personal interests or skills with others, creating opportunities to learn, connect, and step outside everyday routines. Whether it’s trying something completely new or rediscovering a creative hobby, these sessions provide a relaxed and inclusive space for colleagues across the office to come together.

This Quarter’s Hobbies

This quarter, we were delighted to launch a fantastic mix of creative and confidence‑boosting sessions, all led by colleagues who generously shared their time and expertise:

  • Pottery with Jacob
  • A hands‑on session that allowed colleagues to get creative, experiment with clay, and enjoy the calming benefits of working with their hands.
  • Needle Felting with Marian
A mindful and creative craft session that encouraged focus, creativity, and plenty of conversation – perfect for switching off and trying something new.
  • Beauty Awareness with the Tropics Range with Ellan
An engaging session centred around self‑care, confidence, and beauty awareness, introducing colleagues to the Tropics range in a relaxed, informative way.

Why Share a Hobby Matters

Share a Hobby is about more than learning new skills – it’s about connection. These sessions help:

  • Build relationships across teams and departments
  • Encourage collaboration and knowledge‑sharing
  • Support mental wellbeing through creativity and learning
  • Create inclusive, welcoming spaces where everyone can get involved

By tapping into the diverse interests and talents within our teams, we’re not only supporting wellbeing but also celebrating what makes our people unique.

We’re excited to continue growing the Share a Hobby initiative throughout the year, with more sessions planned and even more opportunities for colleagues to get involved.
