Lynsey Smith

Lynsey is a Director of Atla Group and Managing Director of the Audit & Assurance practice, bringing 20 years’ audit experience. She leads the audit team in delivering high‑quality, insight‑driven audits with practical recommendations that strengthen controls, processes and governance. Her expertise spans regulatory compliance, financial reporting and financial forecasting, including reviewing financial projections and assessing financial resilience. She works extensively with corporate and trust service providers, pension schemes, charities and property management companies, and also plays an active role in shaping Group‑wide priorities and supporting strategic initiatives across the business. Lynsey is an FCA (Fellow Chartered Accountant) and holds the ICAEW Audit Qualification and Responsible Individual status. She also holds a degree in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of York. She is a board member and former Chair of the Isle of Man Society of Chartered Accountants and also serves as a trustee of local children’s charity, Manx Children’s Art Therapy. Outside work, she enjoys running, the gym, skiing and musical theatre.
